- Open reviewLimbo (SW) - A Retrospective Review Going into Limbo, I had no idea it was from 2010 until I checked after I started playing. So I tought, why not turn this into a little retrospective review? Thinking about it now, I think I made a mistake by playing Inside first, since in my head I thought they’d be pretty similar. But they are really not. Inside felt polished and cinematic while Limbo is something else entirely; way harder, way more puzzle focused, and honestly, a lot more punishing. The overall pace of Limbo just wore me down. Even though the game has some original ideas and interesting mechanics, especially toward the end, I felt overwhelmed by puzzle after puzzle. It’s not that the game is bad; I quite liked its atmosphere and that minimalist art style. But this wasn’t the focused, story driven experience I expected. I guess I went in with the wrong mindset. It’s pure trial and puzzle solving, and that just wasn’t what I was in the mood for. I genuinely understand why Limbo was a big deal back in 2010, it was unique and special for its time. But playing it in 2025, I couldn’t feel that same sense of immersion. Sadly, I believe it didn’t age particularly well. "6/10"
