Both the story and themes aren’t particularly surprising for this type of game. While it develops its world and character’s story from a mysterious angle, it takes a straightforward approach with its themes and messages. This helps you warm up to the game until its story fully unfolds.
It’s a classic move for games of this kind, but the ending—and the tease for a second game—was probably the most intriguing part.
