Since the first game exceeded my expectations in terms of enjoyment, I jumped straight into the DLCs without hesitation. It was already difficult for them to match the level of the main game, but these two expansions turned out to be sweet additions that expanded the backstory and lore. What I liked most about both was their attempt to introduce new dynamics. The core formula was already strong, and the fact that they experimented with these additions through the DLCs is a great sign that they still want to build upon it.
When comparing the two DLCs, I found myself more intrigued by the story discoveries in this one, and I do think it expanded the lore even further. However, in terms of cases, it didn’t feel as varied or captivating as the first DLC—at times, it gave me a sense of witnessing the same scenes again. That said, I really enjoyed this DLC’s unique mini-mechanic; it was a great addition.
