Such an underrated gem. Such a special game.
I find it hard to put into words just how much I love this game. It has such a unique flavor and charm compared to other games in the genre—so much so that even within its own series, nothing quite captures the same magic again. Just like how Digimon Adventure brought a distinct emotional tone to the monster-taming genre in anime, this game does the same in the gaming world.
Does it have its flaws? Of course. There are difficult and strange aspects to it. But once you decide to truly explore, you start to see just how much love and care went into making this game. While the technical and design aspects of a game matter, what it makes the player feel is just as important. Digimon World truly makes you feel like you’re on an adventure.
