There’s a misleading expectation here, unfortunately. It’s impossible for Peak of Combat to live up to its title. Judged as a Devil May Cry game or even a spin-off, it falls flat. But if you look at it as just another microtransaction-heavy mobile game, it doesn’t stand out as terrible among its peers. The issue is that the genre itself is already problematic, and once you attach the “Devil May Cry” label, the expectations rise to a whole different level.
