At first, the Goat Simulator comparisons had me worried. Sure, the idea of total freedom in Bikini Bottom sounds interesting, but for a SpongeBob game—which aren’t exactly known for high standards—it didn’t seem very promising.
But I was wrong. I ended up having way more fun than I expected, and in a way, that actually confirmed my initial skepticism: this game isn’t great, but it’s way more enjoyable than it gets credit for.
I was surprised by how negative most of the reviews were, honestly. If you consider that it also targets a younger audience, I’d say it’s a perfectly decent game to just mess around and have some silly fun with.
