I was in the mood to revisit it, and it absolutely delivered the feeling I had been missing.
That said, the combat feels less enjoyable than I remember—at least by today’s standards—and I definitely didn’t miss the tailing and stealth missions. Still, the atmosphere and story flow effortlessly, even if the modern-day segments have become almost irrelevant.
I remember wanting more crew dynamics back then, and I still do, but just sailing around with the Jackdaw brings a kind of peace that’s hard to match.
