I wasn’t sure how much I’d enjoy it upon returning, but I couldn’t resist replaying the Darksiders games once more. Despite my initial hesitation toward a game I loved years ago, I was surprised by how well it has aged. Sure, some of the mechanics show their age and a few parts feel slightly outdated, but the fact that it hasn’t lost its sense of fun is genuinely delightful. Looking back, it stood out remarkably well in its time — especially during an era when the genre’s popularity was starting to fade — and managed to be a strong and memorable alternative.
