Visually, it’s absolutely stunning, really impressive work on the art direction. The story is above average as well; even if it’s somewhat predictable, I found it easy to follow and engaging, helped a lot by the atmosphere.
I wouldn’t call the mechanics bad either, they’re sufficient and reasonably satisfying, but there’s an unfortunate stiffness to how the game feels to control. Considering how long it’s been anticipated, that clunky feeling probably plays a big role in the overall reception.
