I was genuinely curious what it would feel like to come back to this game after 15 or 16 years, albeit in its remastered form. Revisiting games that left a huge impression on me as a kid can be a gamble. Even if I still think they're good, sometimes I notice things that don't quite match the version I'd built up in my memory.
This was the exact opposite. My biggest takeaway was, "Wait... this atmosphere still works this well?" Even today, the world this game builds completely pulls me in and makes me feel every bit of its setting.
It's not even a particularly long game, so I'm honestly not sure why I waited this long to revisit it.
