From a distance, I expected something like Papers, Please or No, I'm Not a Human, just on a much smaller scale. The smaller scope was exactly what I got, but beyond that, it turned out to be quite different from what I expected.
The core concept is definitely similar, but instead of being a game about carefully solving a problem, it's more about following the conversations and enjoying where they take you. I ended up appreciating it much more for its dialogue than for the deduction itself.
