I honestly don't know why I kept my distance from this game for so long. On paper, it has everything I usually love, yet I somehow kept overlooking it.
I finally jumped in on a whim and enjoyed every minute of it. It starts with a clean, elegant setup: managing scarce resources while slowly learning how the world works. Before long, you're no longer trying to understand the setting, you're simply living in it and enjoying everything it has to offer.
I can't wait to get lost in the sequel as well.
