I jumped into this because it looked fascinating, and both its genre and overall style immediately appealed to me. Seeing so many people praise it definitely helped.
At first, I had a brief moment of thinking, "Maybe this one just isn't for me." But the moment I got even slightly take the full control, that feeling completely disappeared.
It takes a very simple gameplay loop and elevates it through an interesting presentation. More importantly, it absolutely nails the addictive part of the experience. One of the year's sweetest surprises for me.
