I think this is a genuinely solid game, especially from a gameplay perspective. In fact, most of my issues ended up being with the story.
The biggest one is that Lara still never really gets a strong supporting cast around her, and the fact that she seems to bring destruction everywhere she goes made it harder for me to fully connect with the narrative at times.
Putting that aside, though, it’s a very solid package. The balance between action, puzzles, and platforming is well executed, and the action set pieces are still exciting in that distinctly blockbuster way.
