Hitman 3 (PS5)
Every good thing has an end, and replaying this game reminded me why saying goodbye to it isn’t easy, even after all these years. Jumping back in was like meeting an old friend after years; everything felt familiar, but it still managed to hit me in the feels. Some games just leave that kind of mark, no matter how many times you come back to them.
To be honest, the cutscenes feel somewhat downgraded, almost PS3-era, but they’re still an improvement over Hitman 2. Knowing that IO Interactive was working with a tighter budget, so I can overlook it. What really matters is that the story feels far more immersive this time around. As a whole, it’s a strong, memorable finale that nicely wraps up the trilogy.
I also wanted to rate each mission based on how much I liked their settings, entirely my subjective thoughts, of course:
1.On the Top of the World: 10/10
2.Death in the Family: 11/10 (What a fun and different mission!)
3.Apex Predator: 9/10
4.End of an Era: 8/10
5.The Farewell: 10/10
6.Untouchable: 10/10 (A great finale that puts an end to the trilogy)
Sadly, with series like Metal Gear Solid, Dishonored, Thief, and Splinter Cell all seemingly gone quiet, Hitman feels like the last true sandbox stealth experience we have left.
''10/10''
