Kingdom Come: Deliverance is an ambitious game with a really interesting idea behind it. I love the decision to focus on a realistic medieval world instead of the usual fantasy setting, and the attention to detail makes the world feel surprisingly alive.
However, the game is also quite rough around the edges. The combat can feel clunky, some mechanics are unnecessarily complicated, and the technical issues definitely hurt the experience. At times it feels like Warhorse had a great vision but didn’t quite have the resources or experience to execute everything properly.
There’s still a lot to appreciate here, especially the setting and the immersive role-playing elements. It’s a good game with a lot of personality, but compared to the sequel, it’s clear how much room there was for improvement.
