Heavy Rain is a fantastic psychological thriller and, for me, the second best of the three games from Quantic Dream that I’ve played. The story is incredibly engaging, with constant suspense, great twists and turns, and characters that kept me invested from beginning to end.
What I enjoyed most is how the different characters and their stories gradually come together, while the choices keep you involved throughout the entire experience. It’s the kind of game that really keeps you glued to the screen.
The only reason I wouldn’t rate it higher is that, understandably for a game from its time, some aspects have aged quite a bit, especially the visuals, animations and gameplay. That’s not really the game’s fault, but it is noticeable today. Overall, still a fantastic experience and one of Quantic Dream’s best.
