Horizon Zero Dawn is a game I really tried to enjoy, but unfortunately it never managed to grab me. The idea of a post-apocalyptic world filled with mechanical creatures is definitely original, and I can understand why many people enjoyed it, but personally I found the experience quite boring.
The gameplay became repetitive for me very quickly, and I never really connected with the world or its characters enough to keep me interested. The mechanical creatures are an interesting concept, but the overall gameplay loop just didn’t work for me.
I also have to admit that this type of game simply isn’t my thing, especially when it comes to the mechanical creatures and the way the combat is structured. I gave it a fair chance, but in the end, it just wasn’t an enjoyable experience for me.
