No Man’s Sky is one of those games with a concept that is simply incredible. The idea of an essentially infinite, procedurally generated universe that you can freely explore is still something that amazes me.
The launch was obviously surrounded by a lot of controversy, with many promised features missing or not living up to expectations. However, I really appreciate what Hello Games has done since then. Years of free updates have completely transformed the game, adding an enormous amount of content and gradually turning it into the experience it was originally supposed to be.
The exploration is easily one of the strongest aspects. There are countless planets, creatures, environments and places to discover, and the feeling that you can simply travel wherever you want makes the universe feel genuinely huge.
It’s not perfect, and some mechanics can still become repetitive, but the ambition and the amount of content are incredible. No Man’s Sky has come an incredibly long way since launch, and today I think it’s a fantastic game that deserves to be experienced.
