WorldBox is a really fun sandbox game to play when you just want to relax and mess around. You can create your own world, populate it with different civilizations and simply watch them grow, fight, form alliances or destroy each other.
The pixel-art style works perfectly for this kind of game. It may not look realistic at all, but that’s clearly an intentional design choice and gives WorldBox its own charm. There’s also a surprising amount of freedom in what you can do, and the game keeps receiving new content and features over time.
It’s definitely not a game with endless depth or a clear objective, but that’s not really the point. It’s a great game to spend some time with, experiment and create your own little stories. Overall, a very enjoyable sandbox experience.
