HITMAN is a really enjoyable stealth game with some very interesting mechanics, even if you can start to notice that some of them feel a little dated today. The gameplay is fun and gives you a lot of freedom in how you approach each assassination.
The real masterpiece for me is the map design. The locations are incredibly detailed, full of possibilities and different ways to approach your targets. I honestly can’t think of a map that I found genuinely bad.
The NPCs can be a little stupid at times, but it doesn’t ruin the experience. The story is also nothing extraordinary, but it’s enjoyable enough to keep you interested.
Overall, a very good stealth game and a great start to the trilogy.
