Hatred is a game that is mostly about causing chaos and going on rampages, and honestly, that works reasonably well for what it is trying to be. The gameplay is simple but satisfying, especially when it comes to the executions and their animations.
The biggest problem is that there isn’t much more to it. The story is extremely predictable and almost nonexistent, and the game can feel quite dated in some aspects. It’s more of a game you play to mess around for a while rather than something with much depth.
It can also become more interesting with some Steam Workshop mods, which add a bit more variety to the experience. Still, overall, it’s nothing extraordinary. A decent game to mess around with, but definitely not one I would consider essential.
