Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is still a fun campaign and keeps the strong gameplay and incredible presentation of the previous two games. The graphics and cutscenes remain extremely realistic, and some moments genuinely feel like watching an action movie.
Unfortunately, I didn’t really like the direction they took with some of the gameplay. The Open Combat missions and especially the introduction of mechanics like armor plates and movement elements taken from Warzone make the campaign feel much closer to a multiplayer experience. In the first two games there was a much clearer distinction between the campaign and Warzone, while here that separation feels almost gone.
The campaign is also quite short, which is another problem considering the price of the game. Despite that, the core gameplay is still enjoyable and the presentation remains excellent. It’s not as good as the first two for me, but there is still a fun campaign underneath it all.
