Call of Duty: WWII is probably my favorite Call of Duty set during World War II. The campaign has a very classic Call of Duty structure, but the story is genuinely enjoyable and includes some well-executed twists that kept me interested.
The biggest strength for me is definitely the atmosphere. The environments and the way the battles are presented make the war feel much more immersive, almost as if you were actually there. The game does a great job of creating that cinematic feeling without losing the fast and satisfying Call of Duty gameplay.
It’s not a revolutionary campaign and there are definitely some familiar elements, but the combination of a good story, memorable moments and a convincing World War II setting makes it one of the better WWII entries in the series.
