Omega reintroduces us to Aria T'Loak, an asari crimelord who played an important supporting role in Mass Effect 2 but found herself largely sidelined during Mass Effect 3 as her home was overrun by Reaper forces. In this DLC, Shepard is tasked with liberating Omega alongside T'Loak, but it's unfortunately the weakest of the game's expansions.
The core problem here is T'Loak herself, who despite the extra focus doesn't really ever rise beyond being an unpleasant spod whose ego and narrow self-interest becomes eye-rolling in the face of a story about galactic co-operation in the face of outright annihilation. The introduction of an old flame makes the narrative threaten to be mildly interesting but it never quite makes it there. The combat at least is fine, and Omega's seedy cyberpunk-like underbelly is always great fun to fight through.
