The crowning piece to Mass Effect 3's expansions, Citadel is a perfect celebration of the entire series. I would not consider any playthrough of 3 complete without playing this at the last available opportunity, a rare moment of peace and levity before the finale.
The tone of Citadel is the most light-hearted the series ever gets as Shepard returns to the titular space station and finds herself fighting her own evil clone. Pretty much every playable character from across the trilogy returns to help Shepard - just like Wrex says, "I love you guys!" The second half of the DLC concerns Shepard throwing a massive party, one last hurrah before the storm.
Genuinely vital to Mass Effect 3.
