I don’t want to call it a disappointment, but my small excitement definitely fell a bit short.
Especially in the beginning, the intriguing visual style and story — boosted by my own enthusiasm — managed to carry the experience for a while.
But the fact that the envisioned mechanics weren’t fully realized, and that the core gameplay loop clearly didn’t work as intended, kept dragging the experience down consistently.
Still, the spark of those great ideas shines through.
Maybe it didn’t fully come together this time, but I’m still looking forward to their next game with the same excitement.
