Nobody Nowhere
8/10
One of this year’s criminally underrated titles. It features beautiful pixel art, a small but well-defined world, and a story that succeeds in delivering atmosphere and emotion. The characters are lovable and easy to connect with — more than enough reasons to enjoy it as a visual novel, in my opinion. The neat little hacking segments are a nice touch as well. If I had to point out one area for improvement, it would be that, while the length doesn’t feel lacking, I would have loved to see the story explored a bit more and to have more interactions between the characters. For those who lived through a certain era of the internet filled with anime-inspired edgy games, this will hit on an emotional level too.
