If we put all its pros and cons aside, this game is an ideal choice for experiencing a retro vibe with modern mechanics. Visually, the pixel art delivered an incredible retro feel while playing. I also found the action quite satisfying—hacking and slashing felt great.
One of the core mechanics of the game is the push/pull ability, which plays a role in both combat and platforming. Conceptually, it’s a solid idea, and even in execution, it’s not bad. However, it’s used a bit too much—especially in platforming sections. Combined with platforming mechanics that aren’t the cleanest, it became somewhat mentally exhausting in the second half of the game.
