I think this game’s biggest misfortune is how quickly it gained hype on social media due to its interesting concept, which made people expect something much deeper than what it actually is. In reality, the game delivers exactly what it promises. Despite being a fairly simple rock–paper–scissors–style roguelike, it manages to stay entertaining for a decent amount of time. I also think it suffered a bit from the current trend of spooky roguelikes trying to offer more than expected and pushing things into a meta direction. Compared to that, this game feels simpler — and maybe that simplicity ended up working against it.
