Kowloon’s Gate Suzaku is a single-player adventure game developed and published by JETMAN for Nintendo Switch. It is a non-VR reconstruction of the 2017 PlayStation VR title Kowloon’s Gate VR: Suzaku and serves as a prequel to the 1997 cult classic Kowloon’s Gate. Players explore the labyrinthine streets of the Yin World version of Kowloon, experiencing its surreal inhabitants, architecture and soundscape through an atmospheric exploration-focused adventure. The Nintendo Switch version features enhanced graphics, new locations, quests, characters and story events, including material that connects directly to the original game. Gameplay includes a psychic-photography system in which clues found in an album lead the player to locations associated with memories. Players can also collect peeled shrimp scattered throughout the environment to unlock additional events.
