Mio: Memories in Orbit2026
Released
MIO: Memories in Orbit is a 2.5D side-scrolling metroidvania platformer. Players control a robot named Mio who explores a vast spaceship called the Vessel, gaining new abilities such as wall climbing, dodging, grappling, and gliding while fighting machines that have gone rogue. Combat emphasizes aerial fighting, and players can equip modifiers that adjust their abilities at the cost of modifier slots. Currency called Nacre is used to purchase upgrades and is lost on death, and fast-travel devices serve as save points across the ship.

- Open reviewA solid metroidvania and a nice option for fans of the genre. The charming visuals, great music, and a story that’s genuinely pleasant to follow make it easy to get into. However, despite introducing a few interesting mechanics, the gameplay—especially the combat—ends up feeling a bit flat. Even though I kept playing and enjoyed it, the game rarely reaches those standout moments that really elevate the experience. Still—and this is the big thing—what it does offer is executed very solidly.
