A solid metroidvania and a nice option for fans of the genre. The charming visuals, great music, and a story that’s genuinely pleasant to follow make it easy to get into.
However, despite introducing a few interesting mechanics, the gameplay—especially the combat—ends up feeling a bit flat. Even though I kept playing and enjoyed it, the game rarely reaches those standout moments that really elevate the experience.
Still—and this is the big thing—what it does offer is executed very solidly.
