Honestly, I'm surprised — it's common to like certain aspects of a game while disliking others, but here the same element creates this contradiction. Some animations are genuinely enjoyable, while others — even in core parts — feel rough. Similarly, certain mechanics in the core loop are quite fun, while others come off as rather ordinary. I think the most distinctive part was probably the armor system — since we're playing as a skeleton, our body parts corresponded to the armor pieces. Even with that, though, I felt there was often a communication gap between the game and the player. Still, I don't think it ended up being as negative an experience as I made it sound. It will likely offer a certain level of enjoyment for fans of the genre.
