Summary

UFO 50 is a collection of 50 single and multiplayer games from the creators of Spelunky, Downwell, Time Barons, Skorpulac, and Madhouse. Jump in and explore a variety of genres, from platformers and shoot 'em ups to puzzle games and RPGs. Our goal is to combine a familiar 8-bit aesthetic with new ideas and modern game design sensibilities.

It serves as both a love letter to games as a concept and offers a highly enjoyable meta story to explore. Of course, not all fifty games are flawless masterpieces, but the vast majority are incredibly fun to play and explore. Even in the ones that didn’t resonate with me, I could feel the passion behind their creation every step of the way. As for the ones that did resonate with me... oh my god, I just wish—wish there was more, wish UFO Soft was still active, creating and releasing games.
