Resident Evil 5-I've been kind of reflecting on life recently and figured I needed a little mental health day. I called my best friend who is basically my brother and he just randomly threw out there that we should play Resident Evil 5(PS4). This would be our 3rd time playing together on co-op. 1st when the PS3 Gold Edition came out, 2nd when the PS4 version came out, and now third. It's still fun. Yeah RE5 is kind of janky, some of the bosses are very jank, but I don't know it works. You really do feel like you are working as a team from time to time. While I find the inventory annoying in single player, in co-op you and your partner are really keeping inventory of each other's space. It's just a good co-op game.
I mean I guess it's a good sign when a game ends and you want more. I really enjoyed this game. It's the closest we've ever gotten to a John Wick video game. I really don't think the reviews were fair. Sure it's not the best looking game, but the actual combat is just fun. When everything is going right you feel very efficient and lethal. I constantly said to myself "that was cool" as my character used finishers. The whole finisher system here is pretty well done as the game throws plenty of frenetic enemies at you, so when you land parries that lead into finishers it feels skillful and not just a qte fest.
Over the top and bombastic, but the peak of cinematic FPS of the era.
THE CoD campaign
Great playing with amazing graphics, but rather dull missions
The best CoD. Great visuals, interesting missions, strong characters, and a story with a little more going on. Only negative is the one note villian.
Feels like a desperate plea to relive the highs of MW2, but its still solid and the fumes of those highs are still worth it.
Werid presentation choices and a bizzarly told story undermine what is already a very medicore playing COD.
No intrests in the multiplayer.
Interesting spins on CoD formula
Well paced and featuring much personality.
Fantastic depiction of future tech in a very solid CoD campaign.
Fun fast paced and goofy gunplay with a surprsingly heartfelt and well presented story/campaign.
Janky as hell, but memorable in its weirdness and scale(which was also weirdly done).
Wonderful astmosphere in an incredible setting with tense gameplay that gets your blood boiling.
Fantastic graphics, but not really my style and the game itself is just a boss rush with little else engaging.
A better playing Bioshock with an interesting story, but something diffrent would have been perferd.
Interesting ideas and great atmosphere, but the story loses steam as does most of the game.
Medciore gunplay with a story that falls apart
The gameplay may be whatever, but as a love letter all things an older weeb would love its great. Fantastic art and storytelling.
Surprisingly good and well-done story with a great presentation hold up decent gunplay.
