Lies of P is an action role-playing game set in a dark, Belle Époque-inspired city overrun by deadly puppets. Players control Pinocchio, reimagined as a mechanical warrior, navigating a decaying world while making choices that affect the unfolding narrative. The game features challenging melee combat, weapon customization, and a mechanical arm with various abilities.

- Open reviewLies of P is a very good Soulslike and definitely one of the better games outside of FromSoftware. The atmosphere is fantastic, the setting of Krat is unique, and the combat is satisfying, especially with the weapon customization and parry system. However, there’s still something missing compared to the actual FromSoftware games. When you put Lies of P next to something like Dark Souls or Elden Ring, you can feel that it doesn’t quite have the same depth, freedom, or sense of discovery. It also relies heavily on ideas that have already been established by Bloodborne and other Souls games, sometimes making it feel a little too derivative. That said, it’s far from a bad game. It’s a polished and enjoyable Soulslike with plenty of good ideas, but for me it falls short of reaching the level of the games that inspired it.

Çünkü bu durum benzer yapımlar adına çok da geliştirici endişesi barındıran bir durum değildir. World building temellerinin mantıklı olması yeterlidir, güçlü kurgu pek de şart değildir. Elbette her oyunun kendi kimliğini ve niteliklerini barındırdığı, sistemleri anlamlı kıldığı-kılmaya çalıştığı bir dünya tasarımı vardır ancak gameplay odaklı yapımlarda bu sistem ve mekanikleri hikayenin temellerine bu kadar sağlam oturtabilmek genelde ikinci plandadır ama Lies of P örneğinde bu durum inanılmaz bir yazarlık ve hayal gücü örneği. Herkesin hoşuna gitmeyecek bir kaç minimal tasarım problemi göze çarpabilir ancak total deneyimde oyun bu minimal kusurları da tolere etmeyi başarıyor. Lies of P, gerçekten iyi bir yapım olmasının ötesinde, türünün en iyi eserlerinden biri olma potansiyelini de taze tutabilen bir oyun. Bir gün devam oyununu görürsek, FromSoftware'in hayal gücünün de ötesinde türe dair en iyi oyun deneyimlerinden birini yaşatma yolunda eli en güçlü yapımlardan biri olacağına eminim.
