I think this is a game that everyone who enjoys the genre should give a chance. The freshness of it probably has some effect, but the craftsmanship is just spotless—truly spotless. From the pixel art and color usage to the gameplay and story presentation, it oozes the essence of its era. Of course, I know it’s a remake, but from what I see, it’s a true remake, and as a remake of a 1990 game, it feels like a perfect summary of the '90s for players. I don’t know how much of an impact it will make, but I’m sure it will find its place among the more refined selections in the future. Since I don’t know the original, I can’t say too much, but if I had one wish, I’d want the stages to be more varied.
